The slaves (four in Florence and two in Paris)
were intended to be at the lower level of the tomb of Pope Julius II, while
the Moses for the middle level. From the realized version of the tomb,
erected in the church San Pietro in Vincoli in Rome after several redesign
and reduction of the original plan, the slaves were left out.
